What do you mean by freezes? Just the clock or the PC? What OS?

That's strange, it may be some sort of virus. Have you scanned for a virus for spyware? What do you have for hardware?

hey james is there any way I can make my computer run fast more gig more memory more speed. Now I have a
Intell pentium 3
500MHz
256Mbytes memory
Core Speed 498.8 MHz
Multiplier x5.0
FSB 99.8 MHz
Bus Speed 99.8 MHz
I got all this info from a program called CPU-Z. Do you think I can go faster or would I have to change the entire board. If you need more info just ask.

It depends on the board, what's the model?

Yes, I have a couple of those boards running at home for my "lab".

You can have up to 850MHz and 768MB of RAM.

Make sure you get the latest BIOS for your board.

You need to flash the BIOS to the latest version, then buy the CPU and RAM. I would check out eBay and do a search for PIII 850 and for the amount of ram that you want.
