cannot delete file

hey everyone, i have this folder on my desktop and it is entitled "log" i cannot delete this file no matter what i do, i have ran my spyware checks and virus scans and i cannot seem to get ride of this problem so any avice would be greatly appreciated.

Try booting in safe mode and then try to delete the file.

You can't remove it via Safe Mode, boot in Safe Mode with Command prompt and use the del command. If that doesn't work, head over to our Handy Tools section and try to Delete FXP tool or Move on Boot.

Have you tried to erase the file from dos mode
Try to run cmd, and in the terminal window, navigate to
the selected directory and try to delete the file from the
prompt line
