Buying an LCD
Hey
So now that I've got all the computer upgrades I've been dreaming about for a while I think I can finally move on from my $50 monitor, lol. So I want to get a 22" lcd but to be honest I'm not really sure what to look for. Right now my two choices are the Samsung SyncMater 225BW -> 1. I can buy it local, and 2. I chose its 20" counterpart for my mom and I've really liked hers ... can't complain about it. BenQ FP222W -> I could buy this today instead of in 3 days, lol. Well thats the only real reason I've considered it, but it does have a slightly (1ms) faster response time, though I doubt that would make a difference. I'll probably just wait for the samsung but ... well is there anything I should know? lol thanks

Do you want a 4:3 LCD or 16x9? I'd recommend a 16x9 because Vista and Leapord are supporting widesreen (not that previous versions do but they are enhanced for it), games are moving to widescreen and movies of course already are.

oooh widescreen vs .. ah non? ya definitely widescreen ... and if you have it, well it must be good.
Should I expect any trouble trying to play games in widescreen?

Not any newer games. You might have to manually adjust the resolution.

With an older game you can either stretch the game which I don't recommend or you can play in 4:3 mode which will enable the black bars on the left and right of the screen.
