Auto-format pics Micrsoft Office Word

Ok here it goes

It sounds lame but I have to admit I've never bothered to learn many of the more indepth functions of wordprocessing programs. Anyways where I work we almost always include pictures in our reports (anywhere from 3 - 100 pages a report) and being the office person I end up resizing every single picture inserted into Word. Is there anyway I can make word resize the image automatically when I insert it?

Thanks

not to my knowledge, by default, I think word inserts the image files at either original size, or scaled to fit the paper

If you want to scale a bunch of photos, Photoshop LE has a batch job feature that will let you do that-you can even give it directories as input and it will just work its way though resizing your photos.
