ATI Radeon R420 specs

This is all speculation since no real specs have come out for ATI's upcoming series X800 based on the R420.
  • X800XT both 512 and 256 (12 pipelines?)
  • X800Pro 512 DDR3 (12 pipelines?)
  • X800Pro 256 DDR3 (12 pipelines?)
  • X800SE 128 DDR - lower clock speeds (8 pipelines?)
GDDR3 memory for the higher model cards. I'm wondering if the higher end models with be PCIe, since boards that support PCIe will be coming out this summer?

edit: The R423 will be PCIe and have the same specs as the R420 and use the use modeling scheme.

Man, as much as all these awesome cards are coming, it's really frustrating because while a Radeon 9800 or equivalent card will suffice for a long time theres always a new and improved card that comes out two months later and is the same price for the card you just previously bought. But yea, the new Radeon sounds awesome. 512 of DDR3! Holy fudgsicles!

I know how you feel Taco, I think my 9800 will be fine for awhile. It's rumored that these new cards will need 2 molex connectors for power!

What do you expect for a card with some much power?

Nvidias cards have two power connectors as well.

It is speculated that Far Cry will look like this on ATI's new X800 series:
