ATI desktop control panel error...

Just out of the blue when I restart my computer Im getting: ATI Desktop Control Panel has encountered a problem and needs to close. Why am I getting this all of a sudden??? How do I get rid of it. I dont play games or anything else so I dont know why it would just start happening. Dont know if this is helpful or not but it seems to me that since I have just recently started using NetMeeting for the first time is when I got this error. Could it be from NetMeeting???

Someone help me out please

Thanks

if i have my facts right, the ATI control panel is for the display options for your graphics card. I did some googling around, and i found this quote from another website
Quote:
video conferencing, some clarification (1:25am EST Sun Feb 10 2002)
I called ATI asking why NetMeeting wont work on the Radeon and they reply saying that Microsoft's NetMeeting does not comply with Microsoft's own DirectShowAPI requirements for video capture cards, so don't point all the blame on ATI, they were just following what Microsoft SAID they should be supporting. Figures.
I found this link http://www.geek.com/news/geeknews/20...0629006584.htm that says something about microsoft's netmeeting not being complient with the ATI Radeon cards.

I think it will be Netmeeting causing this problem, if that's any help.
as to fixing the problem, all i could suggest is getting rid of netmeeting, and using some other video conferencing program

You can also make sure that your drivers are up to date, or try using the Omega drivers...

Well to be honest, Uninstall everything ATi related, install MS .NET framework 1.1, then reinstall the catalyst drivers etc...
