Administrator?
I don't understand this - at work I can make users admin with no problem but with my home domain, I have put myself into the "Administrators" group, but the admin priviledges haven't been granted. Whats up?
Thanks. |

Make sure you are not located in two profiles. Windows will apply the account settings to the lowest user level of what ever groups that user is in.

AFAIK it's just a normal user: I quickly made it, and afaik it's in the default group.

Default group being Users?
How are you adding users/people?

Lets go this way, since this is the way I primarly know.
Start > Right mouse click on My Computer > Manage > Drop down Local Users and Groups > Right mouse click on Users > New User After Creating a new user: Right mouse click on user > Click on Member of Tab > Click on add > Select the desired group > Then remove the user of the group called User

I figured it out:
Create a new user in AD users and computers. Right click "Domain Admins", click "Members" tab, and add the users you want. Thanks for the help Goober

First, why are you making these users Domain Admins? If this is on a true domain network, you should limit access to these types of privelages.
